Fred is in hospital again.

He has been a bit odd all day. I have had the doctor out because I found his pill box out and he had taken two more days worth this week than he should have done.

Told me to hold off the Warfarin for a couple of days but everything seemed fine.

When the carers were putting him to bed he had a funny turn, like a fit, so I called the ambulance and he has gone off in it.

Just off to pick up his mate to go in with him. He would rather have him there than me.

I have to remember that he is ninety-four but I would really rather not be at the hospital.

I always feel kind of superfluous and useless there.

I have rung A&E but I think they must have been busy with the drunks.

Nobody has contacted me and his mate hasn't rung to be taken home. He lives right by the hospital and we live five miles away but I don't think it unreasonable to have us drive up there and take him round the corner to his flat in this weather do you? I don't know how I would have coped over the last seven years without him.

friday nights are the busy nights as you say with drink related people,but this weather could be giving them all sorts of problems,

,,,,maybe they have Dad in Triage ward?

His mate maybe is expecting you to go to the hosptial ?then sort him out then.

Mr Wonderful, Fred's mate, has rung and he won't let us take him home.

The hospital is keeping Fred in, which means I can sleep tonight.

His heartbeat is still low which is associated with this infection he thought he could go out playing with.
