John and Merlin I did go to Raffles can you believe Itsmytelly had me drinking Singapore slings @ 10.30am his excuse " Its 5pm somewhere" and they ant cheap, wonderful building it was. I also went to Fort Canning my Uncle was capture their in 1942 and was a JPOW.

Glad you had a good holiday Hayley and (don't know where you've been, but).. thanks soo much for bringing some sunshine back for us :-D as I think most of the country has atm

D'ya know I've not been onto threads much of late....been Glamping in the living room .;-)...but this morning I've had a lovely caring message in my emails from one of our members, ....who has started my day off in such a happy way.:-D
I think of threads as daily news in the the life and times of GR ....some you read some you don't.

Enjoy your family's visit they've just come for the cupcakes and their stick of rock ;-)

lololo Ann I am really suffering from jetlag at the moment my body clock is all over the place and I do have the holiday blues a tad :-(

But on a postive note :-D all 3 of my children are home this weekend <3 and I am being a devoted pinnie wearing Mummie much to grumpy Itsmytelly disgust :-| *adds finishing touches to cup cakes ;-)
