I don´t ..in fact I don´t have a lock on the bathroom door. There is just me and him and the dogs

edit to say if the door is shut it means for what ever reason we want privacy if not it´s a free zone. ;-)

I use the unlocked/door ajar policy, If I "had a turn" I would prefer it if someone could get to me,

We had to stay in a hotel room one night. It was a standard sort of room with the bathroom in the corner.

It was a red hot night and we were on the first floor so we slept au naturel on top of the covers.

OH woke up in the morning and put his underpants on to go to the bathroom.

Sharron Report 5 Mar 2014 19:54

Oh dear, I had better confess.

There is no door on my bathroom. I took it off when I started sanding the bathroom floor and that became a much bigger job which will mean doing the landing and all down the stairs and I have not been able to psych myself up to tackle it yet so the door is off it's hinges.

There is a downstairs wet room for industrial stuff!

'Emma' Report 5 Mar 2014 19:59

We have no lock on the door but have to remember to close
it properly as Rory (our Westie) head butts it open and sits
and watches, don't half put you off :-D

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 5 Mar 2014 19:59

H'actually...during the night we don't even bother pushing the door closed.
One of the neighbours usually leaves an outside light on; having the door open means we don't have to put on our own light. We can hear what's going on off the landing so wait until the other has finished. ;-)

Other than that, it's the door open/closed routine unless there are daytime visitors. We've got into the habit of not locking the door in the downstairs loo as it opens outwards. If someone got stuck, it wouldn't be very easy to break the door in.
