I was meant to go out to an Indian restaurant in Sunderland (20 miles or so miles away) with friends, but heavy snow put paid to that. In fact, it nearly stopped the wedding and delayed the Honeymoon, too! :-( ;-)

I didnt have one either but 56 years ago Stag and Hen nights werent known then.

I remember getting into panic the night before the wedding thinking its tomorrow and do I really want to do this . went to bed at about 11pm and tossed and turned , eventually did sleep and the next day was surprisingly very calm .

The wedding was a 3pm and at 1.30 we went to get dress the bridesmaids and I fiddled with my hair that had been done on the Thursday to give it chance to flatten a bit as the hairdressers always seemed to bouffant it too much . All was well till I was in the car with dad and thought OH NO I didnt brush my teeth again , too late we were on or way to the church .

We went to Torquay for a 2 week honeymoon .we lived in SE London

Well 56 years later we are still together

54 years ago in august. Stag nights did happen but usually the night before the wedding, stupid in retrospect. My OH went to the pub with Navy and other friends and drank a lot more than he was used to, beer I think. He never drinks beer now. He had a hangover for the wedding. My mum invited some of my friends round, also the night before, the wedding presents were on display too.she was completely T Total but she did buy us some baby cham. We just sat and talked :-D
