Conchita Wurst is a transvestite .... as is Eddie Izzard who ran 43
marathons in 51 days for charity .... at the time Eddie said he was
'being a boy' when he completed his runs.

'Tom' otherwise known as Conchita was 'being a girl' when he
performed his song on Eurovision...... good on him for standing
in front of millions of people unafraid of how uncomfortable some
may have felt watching..... he was making a stand for others in his
position.

and I'm making a stand for women.

A man in a frock is NOT 'she' or 'her'.

No way, no how!

I am so thick as I just don't just get the statement he is trying to say all I see is " I am a bloke with a beard who like wearing women clothes and make up in public"

I was there last night and I loved it.

The support in Copenhagen for Conchita on both Thursday's semi final and on Saturday's finale was incredible although it didn't really come across on TV due to the sound production.

I agree with Joeva, Conchita was making a stand on behalf of all those in her/his position.
The lovely male couple sitting next to me were both in tears, as were hundreds of others just like them.

Dear All

Hello

Wow, GlassgowLass, you had the best seat in the house.
Very glad you had such a good time.

We were sat in front of the TV.

I really liked the contest and I thought the show was the best one for many years.

The Netherlands song by the Linnets was brilliant.

A great, light-hearted entertainment.

Take gentle care
Very best wishes
Elizabeth,
xx

I was curiously drawn towards the Polish entry.

Glasgow Lass, I thought about you and how you must have enjoyed the show. I thought it was pretty well done.

I don't understand people who insist Conchita is a man so has to be called he, my copy of info says she refers to herself as female when in the 'role' of Conchita. What harm is she/he doing? I actually thought she/he looked very attractive even with the facial hair. It accentuated the eyes very well with the makeup on them.

Live and let live, I feel, and we should thank our lucky stars we weren't born with more unusual tendencies. She/he didn't ask to have a confused mind.

I had a ball in Copenhagen Sparkly.
Going to the show was a one off, and I don't envisage that I'll be going to Austria next year, but it was good fun.
The party atmosphere outside the arena was great and some of the "sights" and outfits were hilarious.
Hundreds were wearing home knitted beards.

The contestants in The Green Room were hysterical.
I don't think it was shown on TV, but they were absolutely wild ( and drunk) and were....completely led astray by the Icelandic entry

That presenter woman had to be carried everywhere between sets because her dress was too wide!

:-D :-D :-D :-D

I missed the item about the public vote earlier in the week and only found out about it from the Now Show.

It seems that the UK public's first choice was Poland, but they were awarded Nul from us as the panel decided it was the worst entry.

Conchita was on the Graham Norton show last evening (repeated at midnight on Monday evening) and came across as a nice person. She/he only had a trimmed beard this time and looked very attractive in her frock.

Apparently Cher tweeted her and admired her voice but said she could advise on wigs. Elton John and David Furnish sent flowers to her dressing room. She is now writing songs (if I understood correctly) for an album.

Dawn French and Kirsten Dunst were supportive of her altho Bear Grylls looked a bit bemused.

There were some great remarks on Gogglebox lol
