Thank you Gwyn for telling us about the day. I think Fred would have loved it.

As everyone has said. you did the old fella proud Sharron. The most difficult time is often once the funeral and all the necessary jobs have been done. Give yourself space to grieve and take some "me time".

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for your house

I have just been reading through the thread and I am not surprised there was a thunder clap.

Kay called him an old soldier!

He would tell you, in a posh voice, the he was Royal Navy!

A life on the ocean wave and all that.

How lovely that you could attend Gwyn and tell us all about the way things went. Thanks for doing that. I hope your rosemary thrives as well as the daphnia I have from that cutting you brought me all those years ago.

Sharron, we had the torrential hailstorm and thunder and lightning at the same sort of time, there was this loud rushing roar of noise as well, most eerie and like nothing I have heard before. The street and garden was white and I thought to myself, that's Fred, making sure we know he is aware of all that's going on! I looked out later and it was still very dark, the thought came into my head that my Dad would have said, Oh it's dark over Will's mother's lol Great minds eh?

I hope you get the news you want re the house very soon now so that you can truly relax and plan the next phase of your life. Hope Fred's mate 'enjoyed' the send off as much as we have hearing you plan it and hope it brought a smile to many who related to the tanker etc

All the best

Thank you Gwyn.

Sharron ~ hold your head up high, you looked after Fred and gave him a wonderful sendoff.

I'm sure he organised a few hailstones to make the day interesting.

It's time for you to let go of that big breath you took a long time ago..... and relax.
