Another on the 'basically/at the end of the day' list?

It's ok to have an opinion and we all have different views, so why do some feel they have to add 'rant over' to a perfectly reasonable comment? Especially when it is only a couple of lines and nothing like a rant.

Has the meaning of 'rant' changed? :-S

It is easier to spell than cathartic episode.

If that's what these opinions are I dread to think what would happen to these poor souls if someone said 'boo' to them.

Just make sure you are not there when it happens!

Lol Sharron!
What about 'absolutely' and 'awesome', these have also sneaked into the language a lot. Am glad you brought up the subject of the first two on your list Island.

"absolutey" - hate it - just say "yes" - I make a concerted attempt to never use the word though on one occasion I accidentally did :-(

"At this moment in time" - just say "now"

Do users feel it makes them seem more important than they really are :-S

DazedConfused

DazedConfused Report 15 May 2014 12:44

I do it, so people realise I am just letting of steam and not looking for an argument
:-D

But to be honest when I do, it usually is a rant (somewhat rambling as well)
