Tenerife Sun

Tenerife Sun Report 15 May 2014 15:28

My husband died of cancer two years ago. Towards the end when he was In hospital I was there with him all day everyday coming home at night to go to bed. The last five days and nights I didn't come home at all. If my lovely man couldn't sleep he would send me emails. I just found this he sent me when time was running out. I've now printed it off and framed it.

Just thought someone on here might like it or that it just might help someone a little as it helped me.

When tomorrow starts without me and I'm not here to see

If the sun should rise and find your eyes filled with tears for me

I wish so much you wouldn't cry the way you did today

While thinking of the many things we didn't get to say

I know how much you love me as much as I love you

And each time you think of me I know you'll miss me too

When tomorrow starts without me don't think we're far apart

For every time you think of me I'm right there in your heart.

Perhaps someone can tell me what makes a person do things that they know will make them sad. I can't stop myself from reading and rereading things that I know will upset me but still I have to do it.

I can't really answer that TS, but maybe its reflection, maybe its the feeling and knowing of what it was like before.......

Its not self pity at all TS, comfort can come from so many things, remembering is bringing memories alive and seeing them for what they were and what they are <3

Beautiful words thank you for sharing. It's a lovely idea to have them printed and framed and as Mersey says they'll keep the memories alive.
