I also jumped to a conclusion when I saw the heading!

Glad to know you will get to stay .......................

but that sounds like bureaucracy gone mad!

why cannot they just transfer the tenancy to you???

I'm sure that's what they did up in Ashton when my sis-i-l's mother died ........ sis-i-l had been living with her for several years as carer, and the tenancy of the little flat (1 bedroom) was just transferred over.

Mind you ............. that was over25 years ago, so maybe sanity still reigned then :-D

That's very good/humane/sensible of them - they didn't have to.

Now you can harvest all your veggies :-D :-D

I sussed that one but, whereas I want to live here, I would not want to own it.

It was Gerry built.

Fred knew the men who worked on it and most of them came straight out of school and were sent to Woolworths to buy some tools.

There is not a straight line in the house and there is a crack down the wall.

The roof is eighty odd years old, I wouldn't want to own one of those.

So very pleased Sharron, that you won't have the upheaval of moving and can stay with your shed and your garden produce.

Wishing you many more good years in your home
