IF you do decide to approach him, be very very cautious

Consider the following questions ........................

does he know about you?

does his new family, especially his partner, know about you?

I think the advice many people on this site would give is .....................

do NOT phone him

write a letter that says something along the lines of you have been doing some family research and you believe that there might be a connection between you and him. Give your name and birth date

Enclose a stamped self-addressed envelope .....................

and then wait and see what happens.

He may or may not wish to make contact.

Others may, or will, have other advice for you.

Good luck with moving forward with this Lisa, must be tempting to make contact as soon as possible but write the letter as suggested, read it a few times before posting and then go for it!
