Purple **^*Sparkly*^** Diamond Report 8 Jun 2014 17:15

I just watched part of the the repeat programme as I missed the first three acts last evening. During the ad break I was surprised to see an ad for a cd coming out soon by Charlotte Jaconnelli, one of the duo Charlotte and Jonathan who were runners up on BGT a while back. At their auditions Jonathan refused to dump Charlotte as suggested and they worked hard to get further in the show.

I do hope Charlotte hasn't 'dumped' Jonathan and it's just that their paths have divided by mutual agreement. She does sing well, but I think Lucy May is better.

I am glad Collabro won, altho I did like Lucy May too. What a great boost to her confidence. I am sure several of the acts will go further now they have been seen by so many people.

I was unimpressed with Cheryl C's song, I really think she is scraping by now, after not going down as well in the States as she expected, she is having to swallow her pride and come back to whatever she can get, imo. Went off her a while back when she seemed to become very arrogant.

All in all, I enjoyed this year's BGT and look forward to seeing who appears next year, whether there will be even more foreigners coming in to what should be Britain's got talent.

Best of luck to all those who didn't get as far as they would have liked, I really didn't rate Paddy and Nico, and think they were kept in for all the wrong reasons. I admire Paddy for fighting back after the blows life gave her and her late hubby but she did apparently win in Spain so should have been content with that and let others get through.

Agree Ann, she was OK but it was the sympathy vote that got the old biddy that far (yes she's probably been an OK dancer in her time and she is gutsy) but there were better acts didn't get through to the final.

I was rather fond of the Canadian lad ....

Paddy, the geriatric dancer should never have been in the final - she was no special dancer and was only put through because of her age - someone else missed out because of that - besides which, had she won and carried on dancing in that fashion she could well have popped her clogs by the time the Royal Variety comes around

Thought Collabro were OK but nowt original - bit "singing by numbers". But suppose it's entertainment for the masses and originality isn't a priority.

and one from South Wales!!

Best act won in the end - my money was on them from the start but it was the best BGT final ever - thought James Smith was excellent - apparently one of the Jack Pack crew is up in court shortly for beating up his girl friend so that could have finished their chances - I thought they were very good however

Well done Collabro, liked them right from the start, lovely voices and Lucy was a worthy second. I don't think the boys are ready yet, a nice little act but not really strong enough even though one of them does come from S Gloucestershire.

Diversity and Little Mix were amazing :-)

The two boys, Bars and Melody looked very disappointed, but I'm sure they will be young stars now :-)

Sorry Jude can't stand her. Had to chuckle though I said 'wouldn't mind her stomach though' and my lovely OH said, 'why, you've got more than she has got'! Hmm that is the problem!
