I sometimes use the word "absolutely" I am neither hoping to seem more important by saying it, nor following the sheep. Most of the time I use 'Yes' , but 'absolutely' is more emphatic.

absolutely "with no qualification, restriction, or limitation; totally.".

I think that the use of.

"for sure" is much more irritating............

Certainly not worthy of being RRd Not that it has any effect, just wants swatting away like an irritating insect.

Perhaps it was the, maybe unnecessary, phrase that followed which had little to do with the first part of the OP but may have caused distress to another who could possibly think that they were being got at.....again........just putting forward a theory.....nothing more and nothing less.

AnnCardiff

AnnCardiff Report 2 Jun 2014 11:08

I wasn't getting at anyone - just a turn of phrase

Susan10146857

Susan10146857 Report 2 Jun 2014 11:14

Didn't say you were getting at anyone.....but the turn of phrase, if one thought it could possibly be thought of as getting at someone......which the next sentence infers by its input......may have been the reason for getting RRed......maybe, if the post is important to you, deleting the other sentence may result in the post staying and not being RRed.....just a thought.

I am unable to come up with another analagy - lemmings doesn't seem to fit the bill

Susan10146857

Susan10146857 Report 2 Jun 2014 15:52

Sighs!

The sentence after the analogy....was there any need for it if it was thought that offence would have been taken.....I really don't know why I am trying to spell it out as I do believe it is known exactly what I a mean ......but Hey Ho.....

AnnCardiff

AnnCardiff Report 2 Jun 2014 16:11

why on earth would anyone take offence at such a turn of phrase :-S
