The Culture Secretary Sajid Javid has dropped a slight hint that the BBC licence fee could be reduced after the next general election, he said that the current licence fee is a large amount of money for families to pay. |

There is talk of licensing broadband, as an increasing number of BBC services are internet based. So that could fund a reduction in the TV licence. |

The current charter lasts until the end of 2016, so don't expect any change immediately after the next election. |
