I'm also a fogey graduate - loved every minute of it, probably because I wasn't too bothered, also had 2 teenage daughters at the time - they were harder than Uni :-P

My younger daughter went to Uni. I, apparently, was an influence.
She said 'If you can do it, it cant be THAT hard' :-S :-P :-P :-P
She soon learnt the truth, but got a 2:1 :-D

Congratulations on attaining your degree Karen. I gained my degree as a mature student so I know just how difficult it is. I'm really pleased for you - welcome to the club :-) :-) :-)

Congratulations to you Florence :-)

Kay, I did Basic Latin as one of my modules...it wasn't easy :-0 :-0
Some study of Paleography was involved in the English History module, but I didn't take it (Edit: Paleography) as a module in itself, though I was tempted. Maybe another time. :-)

Thanks peeps.

Bob
I did consider the possibility of a boat somewhere along his journey, but reckoned if it was any relative of yours then without doubt he would have walked on water :-D :-D

Thank you everyone for all your good wishes :-D,
Have to admit I'm still on a high...I never went to Uni after leaving school at 16, and never dreamed I ever would. Just goes to show that even an old fogey like me got there in the end :-)

Bob - of COURSE I know how your g.grandad got from Belgium to Aldgate....shanks's pony, duuuuhhhh ;-)
