because they feel uncomfortable with some of the posts?

I'm asking because I have contacted GR to say that I feel that the chat board is being used to score points by some posters, and feel that because of that, it's not being used as much.

I do know that there are members staying away from here because of it.

No problem if you disagree, I'm just asking :-D

Doesn't affect me - I might read, but can't be bothered to add. Let them get on with it!

What we really need is a spread of topics - that way different people are likely to join in. If only more 'we's could think of something! :-)

Despite my personal loathing of anything to do with viewing sports, there could be a number who are watching TV as part of a family activity. Then there are holidays etc etc.

I don't post much anyway but some of the threads are spoilt.

Can't say it stops me posting because I am not on here till late most days and I end up only reading. I have posted a bit more this week because I am at home.

Chat board hardly moves these days and is getting boring. Yes I know I should help it along by starting a thread. I keep hoping it will improve but it doesn't seem to.

I still read some threads but don't post as much.

I can't say it bothers me either, I just feel that it's embarrassing to look at. Seeing as a couple of friends have stopped looking in or using the site because of it, I wondered if anyone else felt the same.

a few years ago i used to post on here all the time when there were lots of fun threads that ran so fast you couldn't keep up with them but then all that seemed to stop and since then i have found it better to join a few more sites and have more variation..choice is good then if one site isn't doing much i will go and visit another one... :-)

I'm not sure you should be posting at all Stella, you lost England the last chance to stay in the World cup, because you thought more of your chips, than shouting for England.

I have a shufti on this board now and again if no-one's needing help on the other boards.

Will post sometimes if something catches my interest (like this thread) and do have a read through of other threads (most of which are of absolutely no interest except to the people posting and their cronies).

There are some rather sad pathetic individuals on here with inferiority complexes who try to goad each other and take sides - very much like a school playground. That wouldn't put me off reading and posting as it's their problem and not mine.

I do think there is still a certain cliqueyness to these boards and if you're not one of the "in crowd" your posts are largely ignored.

You are right there Lynda, the boards are a bit stale........as was said, in the old days you really had to run to keep up with the threads

I don't read or post so much now because I'm busy enjoying real life but when I do look in I'm often dismayed by the petty behaviour of an out of control member - recent days being the case in point. It is uncomfortable viewing - let's be honest, we all read it but it must be very off putting to anyone taking their first dip onto the boards.

As for cliques, cronies and 'in crowds', that just sounds bitter. If the 'old days' were so great where is everybody? Bored with it no doubt.
