With you there Mayfield - Wasps are top of my list, I suffer very bad reaction to their sting :-(

Most creatures appear either to live off other creatures , or exist to be food for others......eliminate one and the food chain changes......

The mozzies make a meal of me lol - wish they were veggies (or I suppose I could try converting them so they didn't want my blood ;-) )

I like wasps. They do eat aphids.

You must remember that they are not actually looking for an opportunity to sting you. They have much better things to do than that, like getting their dinner.

There was a cough sweet on my bedroom windowsill, right above my head, and a wasp was coming in to it. Like everybody else, I started being annoyed by these visits and thought about chasing her away but, when I thought about it, I just opened up the sweet and she came back and forth to it all summer.

They don't visit en mass so, if I have one who comes to the kitchen, I leave it a little bowl of jam and it travels in by the same route and takes it back to wherever it goes all day.

Well, now I've got started and I have officially declared myself a grumpy old woman of the first degree.......
if I'm allowed another nomination then it's got to be footballers' WAGS .... and all those primpy wannabe's who emulate them.

I nearly lost my ear yesterday when some wannabe type passed by (I was sitting at a table, so the designer-suitcase-masquerading-as-handbag was just at my ear level) and she swung it round on her outstretched elbow....as is the fashion these days :-P ...just missing my ear in the process!!
Why on earth you'd want to bring one of those type of handbags to a beach resort is anyone's guess....I hope it melts (temperature today 46C/115F) :-D

The world could survive pretty well without people. A lot of different species depend upon the existence of wasps and other insects. ;-)
