Watch a movie in bed?

I don't watch much tv, and there's no way on earth I would have a tv in the bedroom!

I read for a while....... think I got to sleep about 4am, and woke up at 7.30.

No chance of a sleep-in, because yesterday the water was turned off some time around 11am, and didn't get turned back on until about 2pm........ stupid council didn't let anyone know! I didn't want to take the chance of having no water, so got up at 7.35 and had a shower.

It's now 11.30am, and the water hasn't been turned off :-).... yet.

Sorry - yes 1972 - I am so used typing 1800's!! I can't see an obvious departure for Norman to Aus or death in Aus. Awake again -more thunder

Did find this departure with Betram, Mary, Stanley and two other names I can't read - Transcribed as Duncan M and Dennis
Name: Bertram T E Waldon
Departure Place: Glasgow, Scotland
Arrival Date: Jul 1952
Arrival Place: Fremantle, Western Australia, Australia
Vessel: Cameronia

Thank you K

This sounds like him His parents are Alfred Waldron and Hannah White Rumney Hannahs mother is a Thompson

Did you mean they were living in Rivervale in 1972 not 1872 If the latter it doesnt make sense

1911 census
Alfred Waldron Howdon
Hannah wife 1880 North Shields
Alfred son 1900 North Shields
Norman son 1902 Howdon
Bertram 1909 Howdon

Wonder if only he went to Australia I found a couple of deaths for a Norman around the same age but without getting certs not sure if its him

Not direct relatives and too expensive to get every cert although I have many for my direct family

It will be sheep that will keeping me awake tonight :-|

Today the farmer separated the lambs from their mothers. The noise of the ewes protesting and bleating on the mountain is incredible, and will continue throughout the night.
As it is so warm I will have to have the bedroom windows open, so sleep will be hard come by.

eRRolSheep - Can't you do anything about your brethren? :-D

LadyScozz Report 17 Jul 2014 20:58
