I'm looking for some.

No, I haven't lost mine! :-D

I was looking for "florist" balls...... glass beads you put in a vase to stop flowers falling over, I couldn't find them, so I thought I'd look for marbles.

I did find one small bag, but they're a dull white, and I want glass marbles.

Do children play with marbles these days? :-)

Just go to your nearest Toy Shop. :-D :-D :-D

I found the florist ones in a Dollar store

I'll probably have to go north........... where lots of shops are.

I've already got some florist ones, but I need more.

I'm sure DH will be impressed when I tell him we have to go to Queensland to buy a bag of marbles.

I'm just south of the Qld border, takes about 20 minutes to get there...... nightmare in summer, with daylight saving, we have it, Qld doesn't.

Not around here Dizzi........ I'm in a small town, we have the basics.

We don't have a "Garden Centre"......... there's a local nursery, no frills.

Many supermarkets stock "glass" pebbles, generally in a net bag.

Iffin its a clear vase why dontcha put some of them polished Opals in there ya got plenty of them lying all over the place in Oz.

Ps, if you`re left with a surplus of them pretty stones send them to "Budgie".

I really don't like shopping, I only go to the large shopping centres when I have to.... get what I want and get out as fast as possible.

What I want the marbles for........... we bought a pack of 10 solar lights that fit over the gutters. We put two near the front door, and three are over the back patio. The remaining five I use as lamps. Sounds weird. The solar parts sit in a basket during the day to collect sun, and at night I put them on the top of glass containers, then put them on the small tables on the patio. They look much nicer with something in the glass... I've used all my shiny florist "marbles" and need more.

I might try looking for some shells next time we go for a walk on the beach..... that's won't be too soon, because it's winter .... and windy today, I don't like being sandblasted.
