Apparently I will no longer be able to see Members connect on Ancestry as I have internet explorer 9. What do you reecomend I use instead. If all else fails will not renew subs next year. Why do these sites keep messing about with things. |

Phyll, like you I have an old PC which runs Vista and IE9. It doesn't seem worth upgrading to Windows 8 just to use IE11, when I shall probably need a new PC in a year or so. |

Ancestry recomment IE11, Chrome or Firefox, so there shouldn't be any problems using one of those browsers. |

I found IE 11 useless for ancestry.....copying and pasting gave big gaps on here when trying to help others and when doing my tree I could not enter new family members manually had to use my phone or tablet which was chrome |

20 years ago a lot of people insisted that they would never ever use Windows they liked DOS. As for the internet who needed it when Compuserve and msn were available? |

Having just read your explanation about Firefox etc., I am none the wiser, you could be speaking a foreign language. |

Firefox is not a good choice on an old computer because it uses a lot of CPU and RAM. ie it is slow. The upside is that it is ez to use for those used to IE. |

Just checked - I have Recent Members Connect dated today, haven't noticed any earlier problems - that's using IE10 on Windows 7 |
