In Ireland, the weather forecast is often determined by the general public based on the intensity or otherwise of rheumatic aches & pains. |

Scotland does its own weather forecast anyway, at the end of the national news, and very good it is too. |

But surely if the area covered by Scotland is larger than any other country in the UK then the actual population size is immaterial when it comes to forecasting the conditions in various widespread locations? What matters is that each geographic area gets a good indication of what is likely to happen to them. |
