Saw them live at a theatre in Manchester where they were recording a show.cant remember the name of the radio show,but they were the singing duo they used to have during a comedy show.this was in the 50's and they were very popular. |

My dad was quite keen on another singing couple Vernon and Maryetta Midgley. I think they were quite a bit younger than Pearl Carr and Teddy Johnson so may still be singing, though they must be in their 70s now I should think. I believe they were brother and sister. They used to be regular performers on "Friday Night is Music Night" and generally sang operetta or light classics. |
