I haven't received any notifications since Sunday

Just happened to me

Noticed the number of messages on this site had gone up but no notification received thru my email

Researching:
PLEASE DO NOT: send me information concerning your thread on the board as it should be posted on your request where all members can see it. PLEASE DO NOT: ask me for help with lookups as they should be placed on the boards to get the best possible result. PLEASE DO NOT: open your tree just because I have posted information on your thread as I will not be related. THANK YOU. Researching Carter, Cass and Walker in England. Researching Caven, McKill, Sutherland and Will in Scotland.

I wonder if it is just another "little" glitch that will solve itself, or something bigger?


It's isn't a huge thing, compared with some of the problems people are having on here, but it is annoying!


I am glad though to see that I am not the only one!

I prefer to do as much as I can in the open on the Boards

Not something I would notice as I try not to look at emails if I can help it and would be a bonus if GR didn't send them.....less rubbish to delete along with Amazon emails trying to sell me everything I have googled :-)

I notice it as I check my emails 2 or 3 times a day, deleting about 90% of them :-)


I never try to access GR messages from those emails ................... but I do see they've arrived



just got a bit of s surprise on Sunday and Monday not having had to delete any emails, but yet saw 3 or 4 new pms when I came on here, and eventually glanced in the direction of Messages

and it looks like we have a new member of staff ............. at least I don't recognise the name ............

I also got an email telling em that there was a new pm

I came on site, and there was no change in the number of unopened messages (I have a baseline of 2 unopened messages that I have never been able to find)

BUT there was a new pm showing (green envelope) when I opened my Inbox ....................

Stupid me, then eplied to Michale saying the above ................. before opening the pm :-)


You know what's going to happen next, don't you :-D


............... when I opened that pm, it was from 2 days ago, and one that I had answered :-S


The green arrow was back in place when I closed that pm



colour me confused :-S :-S

I had several messages yesterday but only picked them up from the messages heading .didnt get any inbox emails to tell me someone had sent mail

Makes me wonder if our advice to newbies to send a message to an old member will hold good :-(

they seem to have got a handle on the problem

I've had 3 emails today re pms .......


and I know that at least 2 of the emails arrived about 5 minutes after the pms
