I am glad you got the photos to pass on to your friend, Chris, and hope she could see them and enjoy their happiness.

Am hoping also Liz - she has not been too good so far Monday/Tuesday - rang this morning but have to ring back.

The wandering nomad arrived home at 2.45 a.m. this morning - took himself to spare room - terrified of me getting it. His wakening hours have been non-stop talking!!! :-D <3

Oh bless him, he wants to share everything that happened with you but not the cold, that's good. Hope he gets rid of that soon and you can enjoy hearing all the gossip and see more photos.

I hope your friend will have an easier time and be comfortable, bless her.

I look on facebook every day to see news of one of my friends in America, she had to have a leg removed recently, after being in and out of hospital over the past few years, and then her kidneys started to fail, and more complications set in. Her family think she is near the end but she rallied a while back so there is still a little hope. Her sons are in the States, her two daughters are here in Norwich and not really able to afford to visit her. So sad to lose friends but as we get older so it goes on and we have to treasure the memories.

It Is sad Liz - dreamt earlier this week of her. We were somewhere and I know there was dancing - we weren't just laughing and talking - wakened feeling so happy.

She was taken into hospital again on Thursday.

Just found out OH took a Michael Buble CD with him and asked DJ to play a particular song whilst he danced with the bride.

He said she had her arms round his neck and he sang the words to her when suddenly tears rolled silently down her face (this was the girl who had not stopped smiling all day) he asked if she was OK, got a nod - then a big smile - 'I am so happy Gramps'.

The song - The way you look tonight. Her happiness just runneth over. <3 :-D

Sorry if I am boring everyone but I had to share this one as I can just picture it.

Oh my word, you do have him well trained Chris, or else you found a real winner from the start. What a lovely thing to do for his granddaughter, no wonder she was crying tears of joy.

Those moments will stay with her forever.

Liz - he is a wonderful man. a rock. Very down to earth which is why this threw me.

However he adores his g.daughter and is very proud of his g.son as they are of him.

I agree she will always remember that dance.

The bond between g.parents and g.children is so lovely if it is allowed to flourish. We are not the only proud g.parents going by GR :-D

Liz it is magic - you can sing/dance to silly songs, go down a slide (best to have a child on your lap), put on wellies and jump in puddles, swing, have picnics (if weather bad) spread blanket on lounge floor and lock dog out. Take them for their first visits to zoo and non performing animal circus. First ride on double decker bus and train - there is sooooooooo much as for g.mother's behaviour - 'well one is merely keeping the child occupied'.

Be careful what age you begin to bake gingerbread men. Have photo of g.dau about 15 mths old on counter sticking currants on and at least twice a week I used to get a visit with this mite squawking 'Man Mamer, Man' as soon as it appeared.
Daughter would say 'you started it' and disappear!
