I have been very scathing about rose hip syrup on Brenda's thread and while I am in Victor Meldrew mode I would like to say that there are far too many haws on the trees as well and that hawthorn jelly is not worth the bother either. |

Aargh! I have lots outside my back door from my wild rose that self planted itself. O.h. hates the plant and keeps threatening to pull it out but I like it and the birds do too altho they aren't that interested in the hips, just the insects that are on the branches etc. |
