Adelle, if you Google 'Leeds Family History records', you get all kinds of links and advice and, of course, you can always put a request on the Find Ancestors board if you get stuck. :-D

Adele - have a look at www.archives.wyjs.org.uk.

I have one line back to the early 1500's thanks to someone else who did all the work but I cannot find the births for my fathers direct paternal line in the early 1800's (London)- really annoying.

if your looking for graves Adelle
don't be disappointed if you don't find any really old ones
as most people where very poor
and really old ones where made of wood
that just hasn't stood the weather of time

but I have found quite a few stone ones from 1800 onwards
