with win7 you cannot add a printer or set as def if user status nor admin. sign on as admin and set it from there. A lot of people are permanently in admin mode. Fine for convenience but risky from a security point of view. Most HP printers are vulnerable to hacking. |

I use Windows 7 and when I go into Control Panel then Devices & Printers and right click on my printer icon - I get a drop down menu and one of the items is "Set as |

We recently bought a HP wireless printer.....can't tell you what he did with his laptop to make it work....but all I did with my tablet and phone was to download... HP ePrint app and it just found it ....was well impressed |
