Thanks girls :-D :-D :-D - she knew she'd passed, but didn't expect a first. She is now all set to become an independent midwife, one of only 170 in the country, though probably still attached to the hospital. All she needs now is her"pin number" to start practising. :-D :-D |

No, Barb - independent, it's a new concept. Not with the NHS, but affiliated to a hospital. She is having to buy all her own equipment, and take out appropiriate insurance. She will be with the client from the beginning until after the birth, or can give post natal support - whatever is needed. :-) :-) |
