Well done for taking such a brave step Maggie, hope you can enjoy your break from work and do things you like, while preparing for a less stressful job in the New Year. No one should have to endure such stress as you and others get in their work. I am glad I didn't have such problems when in the workplace, most of the time I enjoyed my job and if I didn't like it or wanted more money, would just apply for something advertised, and most of the time get the new job, give one week's notice and away I went. Those were the days. |

Maggie why I finally felt the need to retire was after I had to evict a young boy. Boss man who had never met him or had any dealings told me to evict him over many reasons we could get around. His social worker has since gone long term sick and my blood pressure on tabs was up to 197 over 101. I feel boss man has to get on with it as I need my health although boss man don't give a crap about anyone. He has so far had about 8 weeks holiday this year. I cant get many as he has filled me in as contracted 17 hrs but only work 10.Cant wait to leave. I will be jel in a month as you will leave before me xx |

Thank you all for your good wishes. I had been thinking about resigning for a while. The resignation letter had been sat on my computer for a good 6 months. |

Maggie I seem to work for a firm like you. Last year I went sick for a month with stress. I had to go an see the occupational doctor for the firm. I tod him about the work load I was getting from my senior and she was swanning off to who knows where I was only in the office for 10 hours a week and outside with residents for another 10. I was never with the residents. When I had my "going back to work" my manager had gave her all my paper work from the doctor for her to do it. I was flabbergasted. Then that job came to an end at the end of March and she was sent somewhere else and I was given the job for 17 hours a week and do the paper work and repairs for another scheme. Where between 2 of us we were getting 35 hours I am now only getting 17 hours and with no support. I am a supported housing assistant in a homeless project so you can imagine the crap I get and the paper work with all the tenancy's and void work. They think I am coming back as relief I don't think so. I was thinking of writing a book about the place lol |
