Still got candles and night lights from the 1970s when we had power cuts 3 day week et al

Memo to self - get some coal and cut those logs!!!
I've got an open fire and gas cooker, quire a few candles and a couple of battery powered lamps I use when camping.

Just need to find them :-(

In Menorca we have random power cuts several times every winter, but the price of electricity goes up automatically every January (need it or not).
About now, we restock candles & torches, clean & prepare the barbecue & buy a large bag of charcoall.
House is all electric. There´s no mains gas on the island & butane is now as dear as electricity.
