I really would have preferred not to have received, what I can only describe, as a blatant advertising e-mail from GR - hijacking Remembrance Sunday and the events surrounding those who fought in the First World War and other wars, to promoting this site. |

If you contact them and ask that this kind of promotional message not be sent then GRU will stop doing it. Sadly the carnage of the C20 cut a particularly savage swathe through my family. The never ending messages on the lines of "You may have had a hero in your family ...." used to make me feel quite ill and angry. I don't get them any more thank goodness. |

I doubt if there is a family in the whole of the UK (and ROI) who has not been affected in some way by war. |
