But his shed is just as appealing to me as he is. I am a bit partial to engines.

He had that nast chafing incident at Goodwood when he was doing the tandem marathon thing and, do you know, I had some Savlon I could have rubbed on for him!

Believe his long term girl friend have broken up (according to OH) - on tv few days ago - is moving house and has a very large engine in his lounge which is going with him and a spitfire engine in his garage.

He is all yours Sharron :-D

very strange, coincidentally, that you should mention Perkins, Sharron......

is it a P6/ or a V8/540?
or a run of the mill Prima?

It would have to be a V8 wouldn't it? I don't mess about!

I am having to think back a very long way now, like before Bedford had that engine where the combustion chamber was between two pistons that were whatever the opposite of horizontally opposed is.

The last time I ever worked on an engine was on my forty-third birthday and that was not as recent as I would like it to be!
