My MIL gets this. It has different levels depending on the nursing care needed. It only covers the nursing, not the accomodation and food. If you are elidgable for nursing care then you should also claim Attendance Allowance. It all helps towards the care home costs. |

I was not aware of this until I came across it while browsing through the BBC News web pages this morning, seems it is not widely publicised, the process and eligibility are not straight forward, however, you know what they say - nothing ventured nothing gained. |
