Much of the current South Oxfordshire was originally part of Berkshire. Berkshire FHS has a fiche for the Wallingford Monumental Inscriptions up to 1989.

Take a look at this list from the Berkshire Record Office - you want Brightwell St Agatha: http://www.berkshirerecordoffice.org.uk/family-history/parish-register-guide/?page=2#results

I have been trying to locate where my grandmother is buried but without success so far. The FHS groups I have contacted seem to require a payment in excess of £30 an hour for research and I am struggling to get replies from some Parks and Cemeteries depts so good luck in your search.

On the basis that there was a headstone, do note the wording under both Memorials and New Graves (DET's link) Whilst they are the current regulations, it is likely that they have existed for quite a while. Thus A) the headstone might have been removed, and B) the rights may have reverted to the local council.

In the great scheme of things, not that many burials are on-line. You'd be better off contacting the Parks and Cemeteries dept.

As Rollo has indicated, assuming your rellie is buried in a council cem, Wallingford is the most likely.

He may be buried at Wallingford Cy but find-a-graves listing is very far from complete.

More likely for that date of death he would be in a municipal cemetery or could have been cremated
Try the Parks and Cemeteries dept of the local council giving them the details from the death cert
