My cat, Desmond, is thirteen years old, which is pretty good going for a grey stray. |

Not long at all Sharron, aren't all cats born with that gene? |

Sharron, our last cat, Lemon (don't ask) was twenty when we had to part with her :-( |

Every cat is king/queen of the world from the day it is born. |

Don't all cats think they are the centre of the universe ;-). I have 4 here. My original old lady who is a feisty 17 and a half black short hair, a torty who arrived at my doorstep as a stray now 12, then I have inherited my daughter's 2 an Abyssinian 8 years old and her 'baby' a 2 year old Siamese Bengal cross. They all cost us a fortune especially the old girl as like me she is getting a lot of complaints of old age :-D. She still rules the roost though and I would not change her for anything. |

My cat is 16 and is definitely the boss in this house. I've just lost the battle for my favourite chair - again! |

Sharron, do you have a branch of the PDSA near you? They are specifically for pet owners, like you, without much spare cash and will treat Desmond free. |

We do, but I am coping and I think that, all the time I can pay for mine there is more money for somebody who can't. |

That is very generous, but I have just been looking at their website and it says that pet owners are always asked for a voluntary contribution towards the treatment. |

The vet is a couple of miles away and the PDSA is more like twenty. |
