I know I don't come onto General boards as much as I used to, but could members pray or cross fingers for folk in the Philipines.
My youngest grandson is living as a volunteer in Barongan (Eastern Samar) and threat is real that typhoon is on it's way. Philippinos weren't prepared last year and hundreds died. Some still live in tents and 'shaky' houses,so please send positive thoughts that everyone will be safe and well.

Thank you

Thank you Mersey, Gwyn and Nolls... glad your son managed to get out.<3

Hopefully the typhoon won't be as fierce as last year and everyone is kept safe, but it's a worrying time for my family.
Grandson lives at the centre where folk are coming to for shelter.

Good morning and thank you Elizabeth, Sylvia and Ann for your kind thoughts <3

My grandson (for the moment) is still able to keep in touch via text to home. Winds have died down a little but more impact expected later today.
There are over 500 people who have fled their homes and now living at the sanctuary, with many who experienced the typhoon last year and who are in an emotional state.

Thank you Brenda <3

Place where grandson is living has been badly flooded, and with the winds now calming down lots of folk have left to see what is left of their homes, poor souls.

We think grandson is being moved to Cebu.
