I am glad this all got sorted in the end..

Looks a bit like the tail wags the dog at times..

If it had not happened I felt an e-mail to Estelle coming on.

Sylvia that is funny though giving you a sticky thread response to a completely different question :-S :-S

Persie

Edit: and I agree with GlossieAnn, Susan wif .. BC would love us all to push the boat out.

I think BC should stay where she is at least until After Christmas...we can then toast her with Baileys on Christmas Day as we wave her goodbye! :-D

Kay???? Report 8 Dec 2014 21:28

Ah,thanks that respect has been given,,,,,,,

(It would be most unusual for GR not to sticky a thread when a loss occurs for a long term GR member,)

Lovely BC would have said well done GR. :-D :-D

Thankyou Ann.

It's sad that GR have to be prompted to show respect.

Ithas not been deleted, having asked and been denied I then replied and complained as did several others. Nicky then replied apologising and saying there was a communications breakdown and of course it should be stickied, which it then was. T took a while but it is now sorted and bCs thred is still there, i think maybe mau may have to ask for it to be unstickied. <3

+++DetEcTive+++ Mau's thread is still there :-)

+++DetEcTive+++

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 8 Dec 2014 19:35

Did Mau delete BC's thread or did Genes?

If the latter, they need to be taught that a request to un-pin a thread does not mean that it should be deleted. Let such threads just gently slip down the page.

New members in the support team, it seems. As soon as I saw the bereavement thread I wrote to support and received a response agreeing to the sticky from a name that was new to me.

jax Report 8 Dec 2014 18:02

So who is continuously asking for threads to be stickied??

As mentioned the other thread should now be let to drift down the boards after 4 months

AnnCardiff

AnnCardiff Report 8 Dec 2014 17:57

so someone has seen sense ...............

Thank you, Nicky!!!

I was appalled when I started reading this thread .................... very insensitive!

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 8 Dec 2014 17:17

Thank you for getting in touch Ann,

There was a communication breakdown in our team.

Of course the thread should be stickied and that has happened now.

Please accept my apologies for any upset caused by our mistake.

Foggy Report 8 Dec 2014 17:10

I have noticed that when Genes Reunited are after the members to either submit photos or tell them something that they can use or some other idea they come up with, they do not hesitate to put up their requests and sticky them.

Less than a year ago the first few threads on the general board were stickered by them until I R R them.

It is easy to see why this site has become not worth bothering with.
