What food/foods, that are usually served during the Christmas festivities, do you not enjoy?

For me it has to be Smoked Salmon and Prawns that still have the ability to stare at you.

Trifle made with blancmange or with custard that's set with a thick skin.

It brings back memories of lumpy school custard :-(

My favourite stuffing is Paxo.

I prefer it not to be stuffed though.

Add ground black pepper, a knob of butter and dried English mustard.......made into stuffing balls, roasted and crispy does it for me.

I sprinkle sugar on the top of custard as that prevents it from forming a skin.

I like trifle.........but I would much prefer it without the soggy sponge bit.

:-D

Bread sauce.

I'd eat it to be polite, but I don't see the point of it, when there are so many other more enjoyable things to accompany a roast meal.

Don't like the stuffing, except for one recipe an American/Italian friend gave me, not a single breadcrumb in it :-D

Don't like mince pies, but will have a tiny piece of pudding.

Well peeps, have to say, i love it all! My fav is the xmas pudding with evapourated milk as i dont like cream. I have just made 36 mince pies...mmmm yummy. Going to make a Mrs Robbin's fruit cake tomorrow and then marzipan and ice it.

Its lighter than a traditional xmas cake and you can make it even the day before.

I like paxo sage and onion but i add some bread broken up, more herbs and spices and a little oatmeal. Mix all together and put into a rectangular dish..scrummy.

I always make smoked salmon and prawn cocktail for starters. Today, my grocer man bought me a sack of red roosters(56lbs) for £10.00 but 1kg of linguistines(large prawn tails) cost me £20.00. Since my oh gave up prawn fishing over 10 yrs ago, I forgot how exp they are. Use to have them free on tap!!

Even sprouts we have just 2 or 3 each and thats enough.

No, cant think of anything i truly dislike about xmas dinner.

Oh except the washing and clearing up afterwards....
