If you find a relative on Genesreunited and they have information you don't, how does one go about transferring the information to your Tree? the first step would be to ask if it is OK, after that WHAT? :-) :-) is it a manual job? |

1. In order to access yr rellie's tree you first have to send a message asking for access to their tree. Do NOT use the template message but personalise it giving some details of why you wish to share. Then wait. |

And many even after contact will not give you access to their tree, but happily share any info on the person you share.r |

Thanks Guys:) I do have acces to their Trees and they are extended family. Wondering if one can partially export Gedcom file and import to your file. Anybody tried this? :-) |

No you can't. You can only export and import a whole tree. |

GR have said they are working on the tree software which will allow members to have more than one tree on their account. |

I guess by the time you write it down and transfer to your Tree it is more likely to sink into the brain :-) thx |
