Same as Rose. We know the sequence of the one we use regularly so don't always wait for the light to go green when it is due to do so. However, we never cross before the green man if there is a child there. It does annoy me when I am waiting because of said child and the parent runs across the road with it before the green man appears. I would also wait if there was a blind person with a guide dog. |

As an old'un with a reasonable sense of anticipation of traffic movement, I on my own would make my way across if the volume of traffic is low. however if others are with me, I'd use the buttons, and wait for the lights...... |

I always wait because I used to get angry at all those running across the road against the lights when I was teaching my children how to cross a road. :-( |

Not sure why some unfortunate individual was killed while allegedly walking along the M25. |

I hate it when you have to stand in the rain waiting for ages for the green man. It should be much quicker to stop the traffic. |

Car drivers are as keen to avoid knocking down innocent pedestrians as pedestrians are to avoid such collisions. I think! |

Dizzi, if you are still crossing while the lights start to flash then you still have "Right of way!" |

You lucky lot! None of you have cyclists in your area ;-) |

Ah yes - cyclists. The cause of all our transport & wellbeing problems. |

It is their inability to understand traffic lights that I was commenting on. |

Yes I do feel soo guilty if I push the button and then there is a big break the traffic flow, I cross and then hear the beeping and a car having to stop! :-( |
