Hiya Fly<3

oh! :-( :-( :-D :-D

Loads of probs with Grandson this morning. He had an EDEXCEL (external entry, not a school test) exam in Maths at 9am. He went to his girlfiend's last night. Promised to do his bag. Didn't. Was still in the bathroom at 8.25. School starts at 8.30. The exam is Number & Measure. He had- no ruler, protractor, set square, calculator. nowt! :-| :-|

Didn't know where they were. I found them in seconds. Huge strops. Woke OH. Not pleased! Everyone upset! :-(

Rant over :-D :-D :-D

Good morning Mersey and Everyone :-) :-) :-D :-D <3 <3 ;-) ;-)

It is bright and sunny but very cold with a slight breeze.

Off to the shops later then my pal is treating me to lunch today as he won
£693.00 at the club on Sunday night.

Enjoy yourselves wherever you are.

GP (BRB :-D :-D ;-))

I shall have to phone the school. I did send an email to The Head of Year about his exams before, because I was worried they clashed with hospital appointments, but he didn't bother to email me back :-| :-| :-|

To be honest, these blooming exams are ridiculous. GSCEs in year 10 (our Form 4) and MOCKS in the beginning of year 11 :-S :-S :-S
Then partial GSCEs all through the last 2 years. Extra exams. It's ridiculous. In my day, you did them (O levels) at the end of Form 5 (Year 11), with normal exams twice a year to keep you on your toes. A pass was 1-6.7-9 was a fail. Everyone knew where they stood!

Thanks Fly <3

Morning GP :-) :-) :-)

GeordiePride Report 13 Jan 2015 11:04

Hi Fly :-) <3 ;-) He might let me have beans with my egg and chips. :-D :-D :-D ;-)

Hi Jemima :-) <3 ;-) My heart goes out to you regarding the attitude of your Grandson. If he doesn't make the effort at school he will get nowhere in life. He needs to have a good talking to about the situation. <3 <3

Yes Jem...did a shop yesterday to keep us going...well keep the Darlinks going :-D

Got to pick Princess up shortly :-(

I suppose you have tried sitting him down and giving him a good talking to...tell him how it's making you feel Jem, and maybe when he has important stuff on at school not to let him stay over at girlfriend the previous evening :-D <3

GP he is a Real friend ;-)

JemimaFawr

JemimaFawr Report 13 Jan 2015 11:10

Thank you GP :-) :-)

He has, by all- us, Mum, school, even his sister. She has dyslexia very badly, but works very hard. She even takes extra after school lessons, and a college morning on top of school!

He never used to be like this!

Fly

Fly Report 13 Jan 2015 11:12

Until he discovered girls Jem :-|

JemimaFawr

JemimaFawr Report 13 Jan 2015 11:13

Oh yes!

It's THE LUNCH! Make sure he puts his hand in his pocket GP! And a couple of pints too! :-D :-D :-D :-D

JemimaFawr

JemimaFawr Report 13 Jan 2015 11:16

It's more that I spoilt him Fly :-|

The girls had to do everything for themselves from a very young age. I used to think daughter was cruel, but now they CAN stand on their own 2 feet! Well, for the most part anyway, and if they don't, tough is her attitude, but it has worked!

Cos he had so many problems when he came to us, I overprotected him.

GeordiePride

GeordiePride Report 13 Jan 2015 11:16

Jemima - I agree with Fly. Maybe courting his girlfriend could be the problem or has he got in with the wrong crowd at school.

The boys he goes about with aren't bad boys GP. But his main role model is a bit aimless. It's more that he didn't go out anywhere until just over a year ago, so it's all new to him.

Perhaps it wouldn't be such a big deal, had he had more friends when he was younger.
