Not a fan but..........

It is with great sadness that David Beckett has confirmed tonight that his beloved wife and Coronation Street actress Anne Kirkbride has passed away peacefully in a Manchester hospital after a short illness.

Anne had previously taken a hiatus from the soap in 1993 after she was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and after being cured, she returned to the show less than a year later :-( :-(

I read that she was suffering from breast cancer and that it had travelled to her brain... poor woman.. RIP.. Ann <3

Very sad that she was taken quite suddenly, at a relatively young age. I wasn't a great fan but still feel sorry that her life was cut short when she had given such pleasure to so many and deserved more years with her loved ones, friends and colleagues. May she rest in peace.
