	Very sad that she was taken quite suddenly, at a relatively young age. I wasn't a great fan but still feel sorry that her life was cut short when she had given such pleasure to so many and deserved more years with her loved ones, friends and colleagues. May she rest in peace. Lizx

	I read that she was suffering from breast cancer and that it had travelled to her brain... poor woman.. RIP.. Ann <3

	I was sad to hear this on tonight's news. I liked her on Corrie and I'm sure she will be missed May she rest in peace

	How very sad. I haven't watched Coronation Street for years and I had no idea she was ill. :-( R.I.P. Anne.

	Anne had previously taken a hiatus from the soap in 1993 after she was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and after being cured, she returned to the show less than a year later :-( :-(
