	Graham, I suppose it's like Santa Claus. He was originally Nicholas. He knew himself as Nicholas. He didn't wear red, but did on one occasion give a gift to a child or two. But he was still Nicholas. Then he died and was made a saint. Sometime in the depths of time, after his death he became Santa Claus, and in later times he wore red :-D So, Nicholas was always just Nicholas to Nicholas - and to everyone who knew him. After his death he was revered, re-named St Nicholas, then later, given the nickname Santa Claus and corporate clothing (beard and hat included) :-D :-D

	It's a real shame that Saints never live long enough to witness & enjoy their Sainthood. The expression 'living saint' appears presumptuous or an oxymoron.

	It will no doubt be interesting to discover why GR saw fit to delete my post stating (perfectly correctly) that Jesus could not possibly have been a Christian.
