that's terrible Sylvia, maybe it was the barista's night off...... and nobody else knew how to operate the machine :-D

We have a coffee maker (with a filter), an espresso machine, and 3 "plunge-pots"... is that what you call a French press? We have 3 because DH did the packing when we went on holidays, and had to buy a pot! I pack the supplies now. :-D

There is ONE instant coffee that I will drink... Maccona, it's not bad.

I refuse to buy any machine that only uses pods, terribly expensive, and I'm not sure what sort of coffee is in them. We usually buy beans and grind them ourselves, but can't get it fine enough for espresso, so buy ground espresso.

There's a stall at the local farmers' market that sells locally grown beans......... but we can't always get to the market (excuse?.... golf!!!)

:-D

LadyScozz clearly knows her beans from her pods.
Good coffee like fine wine is one of the building blocks of civilisation.

I had no idea that the Oz coffee farming industry had come back from the dead. Very interesting.

As coffees from the Indonesian archipelago are some of the world's finest then Queensland coffees should be very good too.

I'm sure there are lots in Qld, but The Bay is not far from us.
