I believe that insect repellents are often made with Rubbing alcohol, which would be inexpensive. You can also use witch hazel or vodka, along with essential oil. I have never made it but know of people who do so regularly, and much prefer using it as opposed to a chemical repellent. |

I've used the Avon SSS oil with a dash of dettol...... not sure if that works any more either :-( When we sit outside in the evening I burn incense (fav is sandalwood), that keeps the mozzies away....... haven't figured out how to wear a burning incense stick. |
