In theory you could put somebody elses name and address on the stuff you want to dump and they'd get the blame for it :-|

So, not only did they get the wrong person, they lied in the letter, as they obviously didn't see you dumping the rubbish!!!

What you want now is a formal letter of an Apology and make sure they take your name and address of the computer as your surname will stay on the pc forever if you don't ask them to remove it.

Pure laziness :-|

Our daughter keeps getting debt collectors ringing for her at the parental home. When she's spoken to them, the person they are trying to trace has a completely different middle name.

Now you also ask for a written apology too.

The manner in which they handled that was simply 'nail someone, anyone'. The enforcement team had no proof of anything connected to you.

Remind them that completely innocent accused can be made severely unwell by such threats and you should get flowers too :-D

in all possibility,Dizzi, it could be the kitchen contractor that has dumped this stuff,

and another innocent house holder might get the same treatment as you........
