Are Fig Newton's (never heard of them until this thread lol) the same as a fig roll? :-)

Graham Report 20 Feb 2015 16:57

I like ginger nuts with coffee; hob nobs with tea; and jaffa cakes with hot chocolate. :-)

The only thing worth dunking is biscotti - into espresso coffee. I can remember from childhood clearing away adults' china with bits of soggy biscuit left in the saucer - yukk yukk :-P

A school friend of mine said Garibal*i looked like dead fly cemetries. :-S If I didn't like them before I certainly didn't like them after!

I like digestives but I do like to dunk chocolate finger biscuits and suck the melted chocolate off them.......not in company of course when my pinkie is raised as I sip my Earl Grey!!

Polystyrene cups at home is it ithen Rollo. ;-)

As I do not drink Tea or Coffee, I do not dunk

But love a Fig Newton (why are they called that?), Garibaldi and Rich Tea. Ginger Nuts over Hob Nobs though.....

Of those two, I'd prefer a ginger nut.

At the moment am addicted to Sainsburys' chocolate flapjack bites - great with a nice cup of tea! :-)

Definitely NO dunking!

What can be more yukky than dunking biscuits.
Dear of dear.
:-0

I like Scottish shortbread and French "Petit Ecolier". The latter are by some miracle on sale in Lidl. Dark quality chocolate on a crisp biscuit def. not suitable for dunking.

Serving hot sweet tea in earthenware mugs to your builder is ok but I'd never do that at home or expect to be so served.

shortbread for me

my Breakspears had a biscuit factory in Berkshire - it became Huntley and Palmers

They also had a brewery - you can still get Breakspear's beer - they must have been the rich side of the family :-D

JoyBoroAngel

JoyBoroAngel Report 18 Feb 2015 22:00

Iif I was to pick
I would also pick a shortbread

But only a Scottish one :-D :-D :-D

LadyScozz

LadyScozz Report 18 Feb 2015 21:44

I don't eat many biscuits, but gingernuts would be at the bottom of my list

I like a plain bicky, like a Marie or a Granita

Love shortbread (the REAL stuff from Scotland) but rarely buy it because I can't stop at just one.... and I'm too lazy to make my granny's recipe.

:-D

To be honest I am not a big biscuit eater
even though

my family started Fox's biscuits in Batley Yorkshire :-D :-D

Bleuggh - don't like ginger nuts but do like cookie-type ginger biscuits. Hobnobs taste like all the bits swept off the floor and stuck together.
