The Cliff Richard enquiry into historical sex offences has been "significantly" increased.

And !

he just might be suing everybody !

Apparently there are more allegations.

The case has not been concluded and the investigations have been widened.

I hope this is not yet another so-called "celeb" that we will see in the dock.

Of course there are more allegations he is famous and rich. So he gave that 14yr old a hug and made her day and now the pound sign looms.

Errol hun read what I said ....I am not saying that ALL allegations are made for that reason but yes I believe that many will come out because he is rich and famous.

I just find it interesting that's all.

I think in cases such as this there are a great many false allegations.

It is also interesting that if the person invloved was Joe Bloggs from number 7 down the road who lives with his mother and never goes out, then people's opinions and attitudes would be different.

I think let the Police do their investigations and dont jump to conclusions before then

Its been a shock that some well known celebrities have been found to be pedophiles and it must be devastating for their victims ,BUT please where is innocent till proved guilty .

All this speculation is just playing into the media hands ,They are only interested in a story to sell their crap !! not to get at any truth

I was neither speculating nor jumping to conclusions - merely stating what was breaking news.

Of course, people are innocent until proven guilty - that applies to all aspects of life, be it a court case, a rumour or gossip on a chat board.

I was just going to say the same innocent till proven guilty..They must`nt be selling many papers .the press have a field day hounding celebs !! if i had a camera stuck in my face would push them away ..vultures the lot of them . Barbra

And that is why so-called "celebs" get away with so much.

If you choose to be in the public eye as a career choice then you have to take all that comes with it.

Of course, privacy should always be respected but if you are a famous person then you have to accept that along with the humungous paycheques there is a price to pay for being famous.

I am not saying that I agree with it but it has to be said, why are there so many programmes and newspaper articles if people are not interested?

Sadly with celebs they are not innocent until proven. If they were then there names would NOT be in the papers.

Joe Bloggs from number 7 would have his name protected until proven guilty.

I don´t think celebs should be protected if they are foul of the law but at least wait until they are charged and convicted.

Unfortunately, some celebs (and I am NOT naming anyone in particular) think that they are above the law.

Errol I do not disagree that some celebs and there hanger on´s believe they are above the law. BUT I do not believe they should allow the footage they did on Cliff when they raided his place and found NOTHING.

I also believe that some allegations are mmmm just that ....a cuddle in the sixties is now becoming an unwanted grope, how much can we get ? .
I actually went back stage with Lenny Henry and got a kiss !!! should I complain ? well I was in my 20´s so maybe not. It was so innocent my hubby was in the audience, how many of these claims are like that.

I totally agree although it has to be said that you cannot be tried under current legislation for something that was within the law when it allegedly took place.

The coverage of the raid on the house was in breach of reporting guidelines etc and I think was pretty heinous - both the police and the BBC breached protocol and guidelines but that is a seperate matter which, hopefully, will be addressed.

There are celebs out there who court the press & love the attention .leaving the country, coming back. going to functions .partys they have good agents .who put the word out were they will be & are paid far to much pop stars Football players.joe public pay to see them & they are laughing all the way to the bank .The press do hound folk .& pump up the coverage .Its All about money today .& being better than your neighbour & friends .But back to Cliff The police were wrong to enter his property .he wasnt even in the country ..we will see but i wont be suprised if its all innocent with him ..ps people have nothing better to do than follow gutter press for a story & read dirt .on Whoever is flavour of the month

Aw come on the stories they follow on the news sometimes beggers belief. they are intrusive & pushy .asking stupid questions over & over again .when there is a tragic event & lost lives .they want all the gory details .& photo`s of people dying & injured .any way said enough now Night
