Sleep in means she had to stay with her employer
so they can keep an eye on her safety Linda

I was given a useful tip many years ago by a seasoned gravestone reader.

When you come across a headstone that is badly worn, and the inscription difficult to read.

Have a can of shaving foam with you, and a squeegy type window cleaner (similar to a wiper blade)

Spray the headstone with the foam, and wipe off excess with the rubber blade.

The inscription will now stand out clearly, and can be more easily read. When finished, you can either rinse off with water, if it's available, but in any case any residue will wash off in the next shower of rain.

I have used this method a few times, and it does work.

Does no harm or damage to the headstone.

I have been known to brush them with a soft brush

or even holds head in shame
chalked them

but I sure will try the shaving foam thank you x :-D :-D

AS FEW YEARS AGO I SPENT A HOUR OR SO KNEELING IN A
MUDDY PUDDLE SCRUBBING MOSS OFF A GRAVE,
SOAKING WET COVERED IN MUD WASHED ALL THE MUD
OFF THERE THE WORDS I LOOKED FOR,,,NOT,,,
IT WAS WORN AWAY AND WHAT LITTLE LEFT ,
,,WAS IN LATIN,,,,I JUST COPE WITH ENGLISH.

even if I just get that tiny bit of extra info
