Hi Shelley Lynn,

If I were you I would send for her birth cert then you will know one way or the other what her father's name was..

the only Lilian Alice I can see

This is the only Lilian Alice that both Shirley and I found..

The General Records Office( GRO) have all the BMD certs and they cost £9-25 each and take only 6 days to get to your door.

Just let me say this you may get a surprise if and when you receive the birth cert.

Graham and shirley, thanks for clarification. I too looked for him but nothing came up.

Only her birth cert may provide the answers as you suggested.
