	Hi Shelley Lynn, If I were you I would send for her birth cert then you will know one way or the other what her father's name was.. the only Lilian Alice I can see Name: Lilian Alice Whitmore Registration Year: 1893 Registration Quarter: Jul-Aug-Sep Registration district: Aston Inferred County: Warwickshire Volume: 6d Page: 376 This is the only Lilian Alice that both Shirley and I found.. The General Records Office( GRO) have all the BMD certs and they cost £9-25 each and take only 6 days to get to your door. Web site addy for GRO http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/ Just let me say this you may get a surprise if and when you receive the birth cert. 	Graham and shirley, thanks for clarification. I too looked for him but nothing came up. Only her birth cert may provide the answers as you suggested. When u get it Shelley, do let us know what you find Florence in the hebrides
